Are you a teacher looking for an alternative, less stressful option to a school trip for your primary school KS1 students? Meet A Creature provide animal education sessions for primary schools in the form of fun animal workshops! Meet a creature will come to your school to carry out educational and hands-on sessions about different types of animals and their habitats for KS1 students all in a safe and controlled environment.
We have a range of mammals, reptiles, amphibians and mini-beasts that are all safe for the children to handle and they will be shown how to hold them with care. It is important to know that our rangers won’t ever pressurise anyone to hold anything they are scared of. All of our animals are very relaxed around people and none of them are venomous. We won’t bring any animals that are likely to bite! If your students have been learning about animals and their habitats at KS1, then Meet A Creature would be the perfect educational workshop for them.
Meet A Creature pride ourselves on being flexible, we can always tailor our workshops to fit around you and your students whatever your requirements may be. We can also offer different activities, games and certain teaching resources about animals and their habitats for KS1 children. Meet A Creature pride ourselves on our excellent record for child safety and animal welfare, these are our main priorities when carrying out any of our workshops for animals and their habitats at KS1 level.
Some of our workshops with animals and their habitats KS1 can complement the science, English and geography curriculums. So your students can enjoy a fun, hands-on session whilst still learning and being able to apply what they learn to following classes. Teachers can also use our sessions as a starting point for new topics.
If you are looking to treat your KS1 students to a fun, yet educational afternoon, then Meet A Creature would love to help!
