We are excited to announce that Meet A Creature has added three young dragons to its animal family, with names inspired by TV series Game of Thrones.
The newest members will be a great addition to our animal workshops for primary schools, as well as children’s party experiences.
These beautiful lizards are Chinese water dragons, named Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion. The trio are native to China and south east Asia and are normally be found near water as they are great swimmers.
At Meet A Creature, we know that our educational animal workshops for children in primary schools are a great way for getting children involved and an excellent tool for learning. But what else comes with an animal workshop? What can children learn from these educational visits?
There are many ways in which parents and grandparents can help spark a love of wildlife and animals in their children. One way to start this conversation is by watching educational wildlife programmes on channels like CBeebies with them. These are a great springboard from which to launch a lifelong love of animals as they help children learn about our amazing wildlife.
Children love animals, and it’s easy to understand why. They’re beautiful and wonderful creatures that children want to get to know, and here at Meet A Creature we’re more than happy to oblige. Are your children asking you for their first pet? Are you unsure which one you should choose? Having a pet is an important moment in a child’s life, and can also contribute to their emotional and cognitive development. Here at Meet A Creature, when we’re not providing animal parties in Leeds or Nottinghamshire, we like to supply useful information to help you and your child make the best possible choice.
Introducing different animals to children is a great way to build their confidence, as some creatures may seem a little intimidating and scary at first glance.
As reptiles aren’t generally considered to be the cutest and cuddliest of pets, some children (and adults!) can be hesitant to hold and touch them, and a creature that triggers this kind of caution is the snake. We’re going to take a closer look at is the Stuart’s Milk Snake, a non-venomous snake which looks a lot scarier than it is!
Planning a children’s party can seem like an incredibly daunting task, especially if you haven’t the faintest idea of where to begin. There’s so much to plan and put into place that it can often seem like your list of preparation never seems to end.
However, having helped many parents out with our children’s animal parties in Doncaster, we’ve learnt that the key to any successful children’s party is organisation.
Still feeling like you’re out of your depth? Let us help you out!
